Post your answer to the following prompts in the Day 2 thread.
Question of the Day: Now that you’ve had a chance to look over the questions and watch the videos again, what are your thoughts about the moment in time you chose to write about?
If you want to make any changes, now is the time to do it.
As I mentioned in the Day 3 email, you can begin at the beginning, or as the event's action is happening. You can begin any place you want. Sometimes, the end is the best place to begin.
What we want to read about and feel is the significance your anecdote was and is to you today? What sort of impact has it made on the choices for today and going forward? How are you choosing to live your life today?
What do you want to share with others?
Exercise: Review the videos and emails, write down any questions you have and be prepared to submit them or ask them during the Zoom call this weekend. Extra points go for an answer to this question: Do you even like the phrase, new normal? ***And, on a deeper level, just what does new normal signify to you? Try to be specific with this. It can be the juxtaposition of what used to be and what is in place today….It can be the momentum that turns your story into a larger through line.*** So now that you’re getting into the heart of your story, please pay attention to the actions of your character(s) as they adjust to this new normal. This can include children as well as adults! They may even be the most impacted demographic! And….be sure to post your answers under the Questions thread.
Don’t forget that I am giving away prizes for those who post in the daily threads. For now though, this pause will give everyone a chance to catch up.
To be eligible for the daily prize, all you have to do is post the answer to the daily questions in the Associated DAY - Days 1-5 threads in our Facebook group no later than Midnight EST this evening.
If you have any questions, post them on the Questions Thread. I’ll be checking that as we go.
